We are excited to invite schools to participate in the K5K. Kids 5 Kilometer walk, especially for Grade 8 students and ZMLK students. This activity is designed as a festive and meaningful way to celebrate the final period of primary school.

This event is not only about sports, but also about awareness, unity, and connection. For many children, this may be the first time they truly feel included and connected with others.

This event will take place 5 July 2026, starting 05:30AM

Our walking route begins at the vibrant Brion Plein and head to Marie Pampoen Park, where the energy of the sea sets the tone for an unforgettable walk. From there, participants head through Penstraat toward the colorful streets of Punda. The journey continues across the iconic Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge, offering stunning views of the Handelskade and the St. Anna Bay, before reaching Mambo Beach.

This is more than a walk. It’s a moment of empowerment and giving back.

The proceeds from this event will be donated to institutions that work towards:

• Creating a safe environment for children
• Providing guidance and support to teenage mothers and young mothers

As part of this special day, participating schools will also take part in the Kindness Rock Garden at Maripampoen.
